School Dinners

School dinners at Heswall Primary are provided by Shirlicious and cooked by our wonderful Claire.

Children in Reception (FS2), Year 1 and Year 2 are currently entitled to a free meal as we receive a (UIFSM) 'Universal Infant Free School Meal' payment.  This payment is based on the number of YR, Y1 & Y2 children who have a school dinner on special census days.

Prices are £2.50 per day for children in Pre-school, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Y6.

Payments for school dinners are to be made using ParentPay - Please click on the link above to help you access this secure method of payment.  Please note that from January 2018, the school became cashless.

During the lunch hour children can sit with either friends staying for a packed lunch or other children having a school dinner.

If you think your child, whatever their age, may be entitled to a free school meal, please click this link: Check eligibility

Even if you do not think that you are entitled, it is important that you check your eligibility using the above link so that if you circumstances ever suddenly change, you will never need to make another application.  The system utilises your National Insurance Number to check the eligibility.  Applying for Free School Meals is important as it will cover the cost of the children's food and will provide the school 'Pupil Premium' funding into the main budget to support your child in school.
