Expression

At Heswall Primary School, we believe a ‘Better Never Stops’ Attitude will help us to become resilient and help prepare us for the future.

Citizenship

We are an eco-school. We want to protect our surroundings and we learn about the plants and animals that live around our school. Nature is really important to everyone at Heswall.

Inspiration

Heswall Primary School’s ethos is that ‘happy children achieve brilliant things’. We know that happy children learn well and remember what they have learned. Our staff teach with kindness, happiness and empathy. It’s just our way!

Welcome to Heswall Primary School

Thank you for visiting Heswall Primary School’s website. I hope you find all the information about our school that you need.

As the Headteacher of this lovely school, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let you know a little bit more about me. I started my teaching career over twenty years ago at Egremont Primary School in Wallasey. I joined Heswall Primary back in 2004 and since that time I have taught most classes in the school. I have been fortunate to hold various roles including Assistant and Deputy Head.

My philosophy for education is simple – happy children achieve brilliant things. With excellent teaching and with social and emotional support from our dedicated staff, our children do, and will continue to, achieve brilliant things. I believe in using the amazing school grounds and strongly encourage outdoor learning whilst maintaining very high standards of teaching and learning. I believe in creating a positive environment to help all people involved in our school feel happy and to be the best person they can be.

I will try, wherever possible, to make myself available for parents, and I hope you will feel that you can come and talk to me about your thoughts or to help move the school forward. I have a young family myself and I know how important it is to know that your school will listen to you.

Best wishes to you all,

Mr J Lawrenson
Headteacher
