It is the responsibility of Wirral Education Authority to moderate its schools to ensure that teachers are correctly assessing and levelling children.  Over the past two weeks, both our Key Stage One and Foundation Stage (Reception) have been moderated.  This involved moderators coming into the school and scrutinising our outcomes.  Both moderations went extremely well and the school has been praised for the good and outstanding practice that was seen.  The Foundation Stage is moderated every two years whilst Key Stage One can be up to every four years.  Key Stage Two moderation last took place in the summer of 2013 and also went extremely well.  This reinforces that here at Heswall Primary, our teachers really do 'know their stuff' and because of their hard work, our children are making excellent progress.
