Peer Mentor

Heswall Primary Peer Mentor Programme

School is an ideal place to facilitate a peer support group. 'Peer support is an umbrella term that encompasses a range of interventions and approaches, including, listening, mentoring, befriending, and buddying. Peer programs allow students to help other students with social support throughout the school day.

Peer support schemes use the knowledge, skills and experience of children and young people in a planned and structured way to understand, support, inform and help develop the skills, understanding, confidence and self-awareness of other children and young people with whom they have something in common.

If you would like more information on how your child can access the programme don't hesitate to contact the main school office or come and have a chat with me.
